Meet the Family
Honouring heritage. Crafting the future.
Rowles Farm was founded back in 1969 by our Grandfather, Norman. We can thank him for planting the well-known kissing trees atop the hill that mark the beginning of our farmland as you enter West Ilsley, which also inspired our vineyard logo. Since Norman, Rowles has grown into the farm, vineyard and family that you see today. Find out more about us and our philosophy below.

William | Twin
Third Generation
Meet Will, the eldest twin by a whole 10 minutes. He likes to remind Tom of that fact every chance he gets. Will studied Agriculture at Newcastle University before returning to the family farm. He’s been an essential part of Rowles Farm’s evolution ever since.Married to Sienna, they both welcomed little Monty into the world in March 2025. Will has a sharp mind for farming and a penchant for hard work however he does manage to find the time to have a cheeky pint at the local pub!

Georgie | Sister
Third Generation
Georgie grew up alongside Will and Tom on the farm, soaking in the family’s rich agricultural heritage. After studying Geography at Newcastle University, Georgie spent eight years working in luxury travel across London and Singapore. It was during her travels - hopping from vineyard to vineyard in Italy - that the seed of an idea for a vineyard was planted. Covid brought her back to the farm, where fate had another surprise in store…meeting Matt, whom she married in June 2023. They are now on their biggest adventure yet with baby Beatrice who arrived in 2024. When she’s not crafting the future of our boutique vineyard or drinking the wine you’ll find Georgie galloping on her horse across the farm.

Thomas | Twin

Tom is Will’s identical twin but with a distinct personality all his own. After a year working on a massive arable and livestock operation in New Zealand whilst on placement year from Aberystwyth University, Tom returned to Rowles Farm with a wealth of hands-on experience and a love for expanding his horizons.Tom’s adventurous streak knows no limits, once taking him on a 12-week course in Dahab, Egypt making him a certified PADI Divemaster alongside brother Will. He married Jaime - Leigh in September 2024 and Ophelia was born in August 2025. From grape picking to submersible adventures, Tom’s versatility mirrors the vibrant life of the farm itself. Peter | Father
Second Generation
After leaving Reading University where he studied Agriculture he worked alongside his father, Norman, for a generation. Peter inherited his passion for the land. When he and Sandra bought Rowles Farm as sitting tenants in 2015, it was the start of a new chapter.A massive rugby enthusiast (and former player for Newbury RFC), Peter’s commitment to the farm is as solid as his tackling skills back in the day. Whether it’s helping to develop the vineyard or mentoring the next generation, we can count on Peter for his hard work and wealth of knowledge.

Sandra | Mother
Second Generation
Sandra has always been the glue holding the family together. A horse and dog lover with a sense of adventure, she has travelled the world and shows no signs of slowing down. She met Peter at a Young Farmers’ Party back in the day (we’ll keep the exact year a secret) and has been his partner in crime for over 35 years.Whether managing the behind-the-scenes of farm life or whipping up post-harvest meals, Sandra’s warmth and energy lies at the heart of everything we do.

Our Animals
Our Four Legged Friends
No farm is complete without its animals, and Rowles is no exception. Our flocks of sheep are sturdy, characterful, and utterly unimpressed by the vineyard's growing fame. The cows are equally at home here, grazing contentedly across the pastures and playing their own quiet role in the rhythm of farm life. Then there are the family pets, who have long since decided that the farmhouse belongs to them. Much like the family themselves, our animals are woven into the fabric of everything that makes Rowles what it is.
